Whether you are a practicing creative looking to gather and find new inspiration or curious and ready to start exploring your creativity, join us for this afternoon of fun, relaxed conversation and making.

Cultivate Creative Cafe is hosting a dynamic session facilitated by Sharon J. Burton, artist and creativity coach of over 20 years in the DC, Maryland and Virginia areas.  She is the founder of Spark Your Creative Coaching, where she works with artists, authors, writers and other creatives to unblock and reach their creative potential. She also serves as the host of the Spark Your Creative podcast (SoundCloud) focusing on midlife artists, writers and creatives.

The afternoon includes:

• Affirming the Creative Soul:  A SoulCollage® Experience for Beginners
  A restorative, two-hour creative session designed to center the practices of affirmations, creativity, and self-connection.  This workshop invites participants to reflect, and reconnect with their inner wisdom using the expressive arts modality of SoulCollage®. Through intuitive image selection, guided collage-making, reflective journaling, and optional peer sharing, participants will explore how to set intentions through affirmations for creativity and self-care. No art experience is needed—this is a safe, low-pressure space to simply create and reflect.

 

• A Conversation and Book Discussion about Sharon’s Book, Creative Sparks: 21 Affirmations & Inspiration for Creativity at Midlife, covering Empowering Affirmations, Creativity Tips, and Inspiration from artists and writers who’ve been there and share their experiences in how to Unleash Your Unique Brilliance & Hidden Potential.
