From root to sky: closing art exhibition reception featuring jazz musician, kevin jackson

Tribe 55+, a collective of creative Black women over 55, proudly presents “From Root to Sky: Our Ancestral Paths and Boundless Dreams,” an inspiring exhibition that
celebrates heritage, resilience, and boundless creativity. This dynamic showcase runs from May 4 to May 31, 2025, at MAXgallery in Baltimore, Maryland.

Through visual and literary arts, “Root to Sky” explores the profound influence of ancestral legacies and the limitless aspirations that drive these artists to create and enrich their communities.  The artistic diversity of styles and mediums in this show guarantees that there’s something to  appeal to everyone.

Spark Your Creative is co-sponsoring the closing reception for the Root to Sky exhibition which will feature the art and literary works of the collective.  Baltimore native and two time Grammy considered musical artist, Kevin Jackson will be the featured performer, whose mix of original compositions and acoustic renditions take his listeners on a ​soulful and rhythmic journey​.  

Signed copies of Creative Sparks: 21 Affirmations and Inspiration for Creativity at Midlife will be available for sale.
