Need to jump start your creativity in 2022?
Creative Revival is a 10-week course based on The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron. This program is focused on identifying and removing creative blocks, fostering confidence and creating a community with other creatives with similar goals and interests. Every week we will meet to discuss each chapter of the book, encourage daily “morning pages” practice, share Artist’s Dates, and engage in other exercises that will foster creativity. Everyone will also have an opportunity to receive a complimentary one hour individual creativity coaching session with the facilitator, a certified creativity coach, to focus on specific areas regarding their creativity practice. A private web portal will also be available for participants to share thoughts and network with other participants. The course will be held online via Zoom on Mondays starting on March 21, 2022 at 6:00 pm ET. Participants will need a copy of the book The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron and a dedicated journal for the morning pages. Looking for a way to relaunch your creative life with more focus and intention in 2022? The Mandala Vision Board is one fun and relaxing way to do this as an alternative to the "vision board". A mandala is a symbol in some spiritual traditions that is symbolic representation of the universe with an inner and outer world. The word mandala comes from Sanskrit, an ancient Indian language that loosely means “circle.” The circle is seen as magical, without beginning and end, just as the universe is believed to have no end. Art Is Moving, a national non-profit organization, created Art Break Day to make art accessible to a wider audience and to connect communities through art. Art Break Day is about everyone. a healthy, vibrant, and well balanced society is one in which everyone regularly participates in the arts. This online event is a part of the national observance on September 3rd. Everyone is an artist and can and should create art by making it available in as many locations as possible at one time and offering an open invitation for participation. Not only is everyone given the opportunity to be an artist and create art on Art Break Day, they become a part of the social sculpture that is Art Break Day. Each art space is a blank canvas awaiting human interaction. As each participant chooses to sit down, interact with the space and one another, he/she acts as a brush stroke on a canvas, changing the composition of the art space, the public space, and adding to the social sculpture’s composition. As artworks are created and participants install them where they choose the public space and surrounding environment witness the change. This participation in and observation of artistic creation produces a society that benefits from a culture integrated in art.
