Morning Pages, which was made popular by Julia Cameron in her groundbreaking book, The Artist's Way, are three pages of longhand, stream of consciousness writing, done first thing in the morning. It is a powerful tool for creative break throughs and has been practiced by artists, musicians, writers, etc. for years.
Although it is a foundation for creative recovery, many people are not clear how this practice can help identify the blocks that keep them from moving forward with their creative projects.
This workshop which I am presenting as part of Moonlit DC's fall workshops at Old Town Books, located at 104 South Union Street in Alexandria, Virginia on September 12th will cover what morning pages are, the benefits of a daily practice, some tips and strategies on how to start or maintain your morning pages practice, and how to use it to identify what blocks you creatively.
.Curious? Learn more and sign up on Moon Lit's website at moonlitdc.com or directly at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/beyond-the-morning-pages-identifying-themes-to-unblock-your-creativity-tickets-67897881391
