A workshop to explore how morning pages or a daily journaling practice can help unblock your writing or creative projects.
About this event
The Morning Pages, which was made popular by Julia Cameron in her groundbreaking book, The Artist's Way, are three pages of longhand, stream of consciousness writing, done first thing in the morning. It is a powerful tool for creative break throughs and has been practiced by artists, musicians, writers, etc. for years.
Although it is considered a foundation for creative recovery, many people avoid this kind of practice becaue they are not clear how it can help identify the blocks that keep them from moving forward with their creative projects.
This workshop will cover
The benefits of a daily journaling or morning pages practice to unblock creativity;
Some tips and strategies on how to start or maintain your own practice, and
How to use it to identify what blocks you creatively.
There will be a writing exercise as part of the workshop. A journal or paper and something to write with is required.
