In honor of Women's History Month, you are invited to join us for a lively panel discussion about how three women are utilizing their creative gifts to create community, economic empowerment and wellness for women, especially during these uncertain times.

Mina is the Creatrix behind Mina Habibi Portrait Artist and creates dynamic and genuine branding photography for Heart Centered Businesses and Entrepreneurial Empaths. She uses her intuitive vision to create portraits capturing the magic of as well as empowering and elevating women business owners so they can play big and shine bright.
Mina is also owns Tenth House Creative, a branding design firm and is an artist, yogini and yoga instructor and a flower junkie. She finds truth in nature and believes that magic resides in everything.

KaNikki JaKarta
First African American Poet Laureate of Alexandria, Virginia

KaNikki Jakarta is the First African American Poet Laureate of Alexandria, Virginia. She is an Award Winning Performance Poet who has toured the US and the UK. KaNikki is the author of three novels, two poetry collections, a memoir, a short story, poetry collection entitled ALABAMA GIRL, VIRGINIA WOMAN and the co-author of THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO SELF HEALING VOLUME II.

Ms. Jakarta has been interviewed and featured in newspapers, magazines, Podcasts, radio stations and TV stations in the greater Washington, DC area . She hosts #KaNikkiHarmony 1st Mondays Open Mic Night at Busboys and Poets Virginia. She facilitates a quarterly workshop entitled: WRITE LIKE A WOMAN in Alexandria, Virginia, a virtual, monthly workshop entitled PREP TO PUBLISH, She presents POETS AND PLATFORMS under the umbrella of a weekly, online womyn led artistic experience entitled KEEP THE MIC ON where she is the co-founder.

Melanie Rivers
Fine Artist
Melanie Rivers Art

Melanie Rivers is from Squamish First Nation in Vancouver, Canada. She draws from her traditional ancestry and teachings in her art practice. Her art depicts the strength, realness and vulnerability of women. She believes we are all creative in some way and she is passionate about facilitating opportunities for women to engage with creativity. She is an experienced teacher and trained in Expressive Arts.
